FIRST DAY BELGRADE departure to East Serbia, the heritage of the Roman Empire 320km 
Morning departure from Belgrade. Not far away from Pozarevac, city 82km from Belgrade, there are remains of the Roman enchanting Viminacium archaeological site, one of the major Roman military camp in the Balkans. There was almost no Roman emperor who did not visit the city. It was the main military center towards the eastern border of the empire, a trade center, a city where money was minted and was the capital city of Upper Moesia province. Sightseeing of Viminacium excavations. Robbed and destroyed in the mid 5th century. Lunch with known Roman food, Drive through the Danube Gorge near by Golubac Fortress. The Danube resembles more of a sea at this point in Golubac. The entrance into the gorge the largest in Europe is guarded by the medieval fortress of Golubac (14th century). Drive to Lepenski Vir archaeological site and sightseeing. This is the oldest urban settlement in Europe. That ancient culture, whose people knew of geometry more than 9000 years ago. The monumental stone sculptures of fishlike deities from the Danube terrace amazed the world. The Originator is considered to be the first portrait in the history of art. Drive continius by boat cruising for 60km to Donji Milanovac. This is the only way to see Tabula Trajana a real experience of cruising the Iron Gate and tour of its most beautiful and the most attractive part visible onlz from the river. SECOND DAY – KLADOVO…after breakfast drive to the Djerdap- tour of hydroelectric Iron Gate. The following tours is walking tour 3,5km through national park named Djerdap, some say the most beautiful national park of Europe, the biggest natural science and archeological museum in nature and the oldest geological heritage. From the belvederes of Veliki and Mali Strbac, one can have the most unbelievable views of the gorge and this powerful river. The famous researcher of the underwater world Jacques Cousteau measured the depths of the spot of Gospodjin vir / Lady’s Whirl/ the river is 90m deep. The Romans named it Iron Gate. Active rest and relaxation. Traditional out-door lunch followed by interesting Vlach dances folklore performance. The Vlachs were the settlers in the Balkans before any other nation and they brought with them their believing in Rusalkas – young girls dancing on lawns in the nights of the full moon.
